Snowman
The winter 2022 was an unforgettable one for me since it was my first in Canada. Our M.Sc. research projects were based on snowmelt runoff in manured soils in Randolph, Manitoba. We started our field research sampling on March 19th of 2022 and finished on April 5th thinking that the snowing is over. But here came another storm with a large accumulation. After been punished by a brutal winter we really did not have energy to start another round of sampling. We went for a field inspection after the storm. To our delight we did not have to continue sampling since there was no frozen soil left to accumulate snowmelt water even though there was so much snow. Therefore, we ended up creating this lovely snowman using some leftover corn as his eyes and nose!
