During a months-long sociomaterial project on how preschoolers see themselves in relationship to taken-for-granted “stuff”, cameras were offered to the children to document and narrate what they view as important. Their iconic images push the boundaries of what “counts” as documentation. Here, a beloved doll is brought into focus.
