This close-up photo of a stained glass of the University Laval collection helps to determine the dating of the glass (here, a 13th century stained glass) through the analysis of its corrosion, the pigments of grisaille paint, the shape of the air bubbles and impurities caught in the glass, while the various breaks help to reveal some aspects of the history of conservation.
