Wiegand Biology Undergraduate Research Award
Established by Dr. Murray Wiegand and his wife Nancy, this award will support students enrolled in the Biology Honours Thesis course (BIOL-4111(6) or successor course). Up to two awards may given per year, with the allocation of funds determined by the Biology Department research committee and the Biology Honours Coordinator. Candidates are required to submit a research proposal, based on their Honours research project, which includes a statement of the significance of the proposed work. This award is both merit and needs based and therefore applicants must supply a budget which details anticipated expenses and funds available from their advisor for research support. Applications must be submitted by September 15th for consideration.
