Greatest Need

The University of Winnipeg Tuition Waiver Fund was established to allow donors to directly support the University of Winnipeg’s Youth-In-Care Tuition Waiver program. Tuition waivers fully fund undergraduate tuition fees for current or former youth-in-care in Manitoba who have a financial need. Established in 2012 by The University of Winnipeg in collaboration with Child and Family Services and the Province of Manitoba, the initiative aims to break down educational barriers for young adults transitioning out of foster care. The program has grown to serve more than 30 students annually and highlights the university’s dedication to making education accessible for all.
