This photo was taken during fieldwork near the Red River, August 30, 2023, as part of a project on water pollution and colonial violence. This driftwood was part of a community memorial to 15-year old Tina Fontaine, from the Sagkeeng First Nation, near the Alexander Docks in downtown Winnipeg.
