Underwater Cameras Ready For Calibration
High resolution fisheye lens cameras are being prepared for use in the next generation neutrino detectors. These four cameras in 3L10 will be sent to CERN, along with another four, to be installed in a large water tank used to detect particle interactions. The cameras will be used to develop a 3D model of the detector using stereoscopic images. The camera housing and readout were developed by the Hyper-Kamokande Winnipeg group, and can be controlled from over 25 m away.
